Torre Alfina, an ancient borough, 600 mts on the sea level, has a wonderful castle, surrounded by forests and rivers. The Sasseto forest is one of the most famous, a very ancient forest with oaks and many other types of trees among many volcanic stones and caves. Inside this forest, there is the Gothic mausoleum where Edoardo Cahen tumb is. Near there, is the biggest town of this territory, Acquapendente, the town of Pugnaloni and of the beautiful Flower Museum.

Acquapendente Carnival In february the traditional Carnival parade takes place, giving the visitors a chance to taste traditional specialties, such as "le fregnacce", very good pastry. Mid May Pugnaloni Festival The third Sunday of May is the Madonna del Fiore celebration day. Every year, the traditional “pugnaloni” parade takes place. Big panels are decorated with thousands flower petals, making a real painting. After the festival, all the pugnaloni are exposed in the Duomo until the next year.

Mount Rufeno Natural Park This natural park was opened in 1983 and its surface is 3000 hectars, mainly covered by trees and cultivation fields, most of them already part of the Mount Rufeno Forest. It is considered an important natural monument. Among the aminal species populating this land, are wild boars, groundhogs, porcupines, foxes, hares, squirrels and skunks, together with many bird species. Another interesting element here is the Paglia river, which runs South west and where are many turtle and reptile species. This environment is very delicate and has a very delicate balance, that's why visitors have to respect it and help preserving it.
