Castelviscardo CASTLE
Very close to Allerona, there is the town of Castelviscardo, a small borough with a beautiful castle. Inside the castle, there is a large park, often used for cultural and social events.

The town is located on a hill top position, as it hosted the old medieval castle of the noble Monaldeschi family. The heritage of this noble past is represented by the famous city doors called Porta della Luna and Porta del Sole, today the main entrances to the historical downtown. | |
