Foligno is considered the geographical centre of Umbria and it is very close to Perugia, Assisi, Bevagna, Montefalco and Spello. -Quintana Medieval Merry-go-round -S.Eraclio Carnival Twice a year (on June and September) the world wide famous Medieval Giostra della Quintana (an ancient horse game) takes place in its arena. The whole city turns full of people eating in the several taverns until the final competition collects all the people in the arena, where the town districts race. Every district has its own tavern (large underground pubs, opened only for the competition days).
