The San Venanzo Volcano - 265.000 years' old - is still young from a geological point of view. It is considered a "bonsai volcano" with many caves and craters which offers his visitors the chance to admire some rare minerals and rocks. the most famous rock here is the "Venanzite" rock, world wide famous. The visitors center is well equipped for scholl tours and it is located in the San Venanzo downtown, not far from the wide Villa Comunale park. It gives useful information for the volcano visits and for the geological world in general.

The open air Museum is located through a 2km promenade with information, pictures and details about the volcano history and rests of it. The Volcano Museum has been recently set up. the small museum is part of a larger project made in order to explain the environment features and elements. In San Venanzo, in fact, are two small volcanoes, pretty well kept, which will be visitable through a natural equipped path.
